25 people want to kill them and put their
minds in the computer:
If you have ever dreamed of preserving your consciousness and living on
cloud even after death, then a new startup Nectom will make your mind immortal
by charging a fee of six lakh rupees. It will freeze the brain and if
technology is advanced in future, then putting this brain on computer will make
it digital. That is, you will live digitally after death. Memories, feelings,
everything will be preserved. The only drawback of this technique is that your
life can also be lost during the process of conserving the mind. Despite this,
25 people have become customers of this startup so far. It also includes
32-year-old industrialist Sam Almman of Silicon Valley.
Altman is the owner of Y Combinator Company, which invests in startups
such as Nectom. Next week, Nectome founder Robert McIntyre will pitch for
investment in his company for the first time. According to Robert, Nectom plans
to connect highly ill patients with life support systems. After this he will be
rendered unconscious by giving anesthesia. Then a lot of chemicals will be
inserted through the arteries all over the body. Remember, the patient will be
alive during this entire process, but it is very fatal and there is a 100
percent chance of being killed.
