Supercomputer : Quantum superimacy
Quantum supremacy

Recently, a British newspaper reported that Google had acquired 'quantum dominance'. Tech company Google has claimed to have built a quantum computer. Google claims that this computer has reached 'Quantum Supremacy' because it did a computation in just 200 seconds, which would take 10 thousand years to do even the fastest computer in the world. This means that Google researchers solved such a difficult question in a few seconds with a quantum computer, which even the supercomputer could not solve.

What is this quantum computer ? :

Its functioning differs from the currently working computer. This computer, working on the principles of quantum mechanics, solves the computational problem in a pinch. It also easily solves problems with large numbers and large inputs. It looks different from a normal desktop or laptop. It looks like an air-conditioned server room in the offices.
Quantum computing is still a developing technology that is designed in such a way that the speed of processing the information can be greatly increased. All the major companies including Google are busy developing this technology.
According to Livemint's report, the result of this Google test was published in the science magazine Nature. Researchers say that quantum superimacy means that the calculations that a quantum computer can do, an ordinary computer cannot do in its lifetime.
The idea behind quantum computing is that not only the speed of calculus can be increased, but also large calculations can be done easily.
Actually, where a traditional computer stores any information in a 'binary system' ie '0' or '1'. At the same time, this quantum computer stores it simultaneously in 'cubits' i.e. 0 and 1. This greatly increases the ability to store any information.
However, contrary to Google's claim, this week, International Business Machine Corp wrote in a blog that Google's performance can be done in 2.5 days on a traditional hard-drive computer with a large hard disk, contrary to Google's claim. . It has been written that Quantum Supremacy does not mean performing the task that a classical computer cannot.

How are these helpful?:

Our traditional supercomputers have limited energy requirements and speed. Along with this, they demand a place. In real-world problems, the data of a large amout can be solved with a quantum computer. In 1996, Lowe K. Grover discovered the fact that a quantum computer can solve data in a thousand steps instead of millions of steps compared to a normal computer. This saves the processor and energy.
Quantum computing is a technology with the help of which large data and information can be processed in a very short time. With the help of quantum computers, computing related tasks will be done in a very short time, in which existing devices and technology will take many years to complete. With the help of this new processor, from the discovery of new medicines to the management and transport of cities, the work will become easier.
Theoretically, a quantum computer can solve a problem faster because it attacks complex problems that the classical computer cannot solve. Its biggest advantage is speed.
There are many applications in banking and security, which are not able to solve complex mathematical problems. It will be possible to do this with a quantum computer.
This should not be construed to mean that quantum computers can solve every challenging problem. There are some specific types of work in these as well. Also, like supercomputers, they are not perfect in solving real world problems.

Role in online banking:

A computer scientist says that the current encryption norms of banking will require 'several thousand logical cubits'. For this, quantum computers have to be designed differently.

Status in india:

At present, there is no such type of computer in India. In 2018, the Department of Science and Technology launched the Quantum Enabled Science and Technology Program. He has targeted to spend Rs 80 crore for the next three years. It will be put into research.
The aim is to have a quantum computer manufactured in India for the next decade.
